Jazz and Blues

 

        My favorite music types are blues and jazz. Especially when I draw pictures, I listen to Jazz and Blues. I think it has a very relaxing melody.

Jazz is a musical genre that first started to develop in the southern states of the USA in the early 1900s. Jazz music uses blue notes, syncope, swing, multiple rhythm, skirmish, and improvisation techniques; It is the blending of African-American and Western music techniques.Jazz is one of the genres of music that is loved today, not in the past. Blues is a music genre that has a 400-year history and is based in Africa. The first Blues note released was Hart Wand's 1912 "Dallas Blues".  If you want to listen to Jazz or Blues, you can ask me for  advice. You must be listening to Big Daddy Wilson. He has amazing songs. You can watch Whiplash. This movie is about music but it is not an informative movie about the history of jazz or use of instruments. 

HOROSCOPES

                  Do you believe in horoscopes ?

    Some people believe in horoscopes and they are interested in astrology. In contrast, some people think it is such a silly thing because according to these people, human conducts are not relevant to their birthday. There are two different ideas about horoscopes. I think it is not silly because I have my horoscope’s speciality such as pessimistic, ambitious and distant. In fact, each capricorn person has not a capricorn's speciality therefore, horoscopes are a little bit illogical. Astrologers’ opinions are horoscopes features relevant with each person’s birthday, birth time and their rising sign. For instance, my horoscope is capricorn and my rising sign is Pisces . These are opposite, so sometimes I am very emotional and I cry for ridiculous things, sometimes I am very distant and the things that most people feel touched by seems absurd to me. What do you think? Do you have your horoscope’s features?  

When Nietzsche Wept

 

The book named 'When Nietzsche Wept' belongs to Irvın D. Yalom. I want to write about this book because it is my favarite book.(''Hope is the worst of all evils because it prolongs torture''. This sentence is my favorite sentence in the book.)   The book contains two philosopher. These are Friedrich Nietzche and Sigmund Freud. This book begins with Salome wants help for Nietzsche from the Breuer . Breuer is a very successful doctor, he has five children and a beautiful wife. Nietzsche is a philosopher nobody knows , he has only two published book, one suitcase and designed books in his opinion. Breuer accept Salome's offer because he want to see the girl again. Salome is a very charming woman. Nietzsche didn't know Salome talk with Breuer for him but Salome concinced to Nietzsche for going to the doctor. Nietzsche is very proud and he never accept help from anyone. Therefore, at first he didn't tell in his opinion and he didnot accept that he has mental problems. Nietzsche describe his body and soul  as two seperate parts so, he doesn't accept his bodily pains. Breuer's purpose is to show that the cause of his bodily pain is mental disorders. Nietzsche didn't want to tell something about hi special life and he decided to doesn't meeting with the doctor anymore. The while Breuer talk with Sig about Nietzsche . Essentialy, Sig is Sigmund Freud. Sig is Breuer's best friend and his student. Breuer always tell and ask something about his patients for improving Freud's practice and learning his opinions. One day, a man knock to Breuer's door and he say ' Nietzsche stay in my house and he is very sick' and he wants to help for Nietzsche from the doctor . Breuer was schocked because Nietzsche never want help to someone. 

    I don't want to tell details and the book's end because I think each person should be read this book and story is not exciting when someone tell the details . 

Why did I choosed philosophy department ?

  

I think a lot recently. Why did I choosed philosophy department ? I started thinking this way because I am worried about my future. I always ask myself  'Why did I changed my department ? '. Actually , I want to study law before exam but I changed my idea in  preference period because in my opinion  Boğaziçi University is the best University in Turkey and I always admire to Boğaziçi University  same time. I know doesn't sound logical because law and Boğaziçi University are not relevant. My tutor is studied in Boğaziçi and I guess I was very impressed by him because I always take an example  by him and his ideas are  very important to me . I am regret to choosed an English department because I am very gets hard and I can't speak English , I can't explain myself  . These are very  difficult to me . I don't believe myself about learning English . Probably , I will not regret when I start study in my department and maybe I will love philosophy department . I hope I get rid of these negative thoughts . I study law now so , I feel a little bit relieved because I did not give up my goal completely. By the way , my concern about my education life . I loved my friends I made here . Each person has different special feature. I made friends I will spend time after this year too. I met two wonderful person , these are  my teachers. To be honest , if I studied in Istanbul University faculty of law , I can't met lectures because these classes very crowded so, I am happy to be in a friendly classroom environment. 

GUERNICA

 I wanted to choose a  subject about picture because I love drawing. I feel relaxed when I drawing and I listening jazz while drawing because I think jazz is the best kind of music.

I choosed Guernica for telling because this picture is very meningful. Guernica is Pablo Picasso's drawing. He mades this pictures during the Spanish civil war.  It tells about the bomb of the city of Guernica in Spain on April 26 , by  Nazi German aircraft .  It is a monumental painting with a width of 7.76 metres and a lenght  of 3.49 metres  . 1600 people  dead during the attack and  many people   were injured.    Picasso is draw this pictures in fifteen days. This painting is painted in black and white because he wanted to emphasize the lifelessness created by the war. Guernica belongs to the symbolism movement.   Many symbols are in this picture , for example: There is a person on the right stuck in the door and there is a dead baby in her mother's arms. There is a chaos in the pictures. I think pictures are great way to give a messages about wars, poverty and other important subjects. Every pictures contains a meaning , it tells something. Of course, the messages of each pictures is not clear, some pictures are  mysteiorus and this pictures my favorites. 

                                                                           

INTERESTING LAWSUITS

                                  

        I am studying philosophy and law .I love listen and read interesting lawsuits. That's why I want to write about  intersting lawsuits. The lawsuit I am telling is a severe criminal lawsuit.Of course it is real lawsuit and this event taking place in Turkey.

           A man kidnap a girl with his friend. The guy is the girl's boy friand but she doesn't want to go with her boyfriend .A few days later polices catch the guys. She complains about her boyfriend to the police .Then her father is shooting at he her boyfriend. Her boyfriend is dead.That's why her father is entering the  prison .Lawyer want to talk about her father with she for lessen his punishment.But she doesn't want to talk and she say ' My father shooted to my boyfriend therefore I want him to go to prison .' Lawyer is shocked and suspects. Then hi decide to question the girl and the truth is revealed. Actually she loved her boyfriend's friend and she decided to make a plan with him. He kidnap to girl with her boyfriend then when her father catch the her boyfriend  them know he shoot to her boyfriend. In this manner she and her real boyfriend escape together and girl's boyfriend would have disappeared but lawyer uncovering the truth. 

           I think it is interesting case but such cases are so much going on in Turkey.

       

My ideas about SPLIT

    I want to tell about  a  movie I watched  on my first blog. This movie's name is Split. I think it's a amazing movie. This movie's subject is multiple personality desorder.

     Lead role's name is Kevin .He has a 24 personalty. Each personality has a diffrent obsessions and some illnes.This movie begins with Kevin kidnapping 3 young girls for submit to twenty-fouth personality.My best personality is Hedwig .He is a 9 years old boy .He is so sweet and pure. Sometimes girls use Hedwig's purity for escape .But eveytime girls to fail.Another one of personality  name is Dennis.He has obsessive compulsive disorder. I think it is very interested because for example one personality has a diabetes and she must be used  insulin injection but other personality hasn't any diabetes problem. Kevin is sometimes very strong person sometimes pure boy sometimes polite woman...... He has a lot of skill.I don't want to tell end of the movie because I want you to watch this movie. This movie also has the second one. The movie's name is GLASS.It's a very good movie too.But this movie not about only Kevin. There are two other characters with special powers.
